The 10th and Last Wish
16 x 22
Acrylic on Poster Board
I created this piece to embody the concept of our fragile mortality. As a generation is brought into being, another passes away. For a child, the blowing of a candle is a cause for celebration; yet for the elder, it represents a year closer to the end.

Crave for Art
22 x 14
Acrylic on Poster Board
This piece explores the interrelation of art and money in our modern world. The piece depicts a skeleton eating paint off of an artists' palette, with all the utensils of a lavish diner, yet without a single ounce of food. Behind the skeleton, on contrary, is a reference to Andy Warhol’s “Campbell Soup,” a mass-produced art piece depicting simple daily-life items. Despite the simplicity of the context and content, this piece is worth millions.

White Flowers
20 x 16
Acrylic on Canvas
Still-life painting of case, flowers, apple, and grapes. I experimented with saturation, value, and hue in this piece.

Hagia Sophia
16 x 20
Acrylic
Still-life acrylic painting that I experimented with contrast between warm and cool colors. I combined the Hagia Sophia with Padua, Italy to achieve a foggy, distant background. Hagia Sophia’s yellow is emphasized to contrast against the blue shadows and background.
